Thanks, Man- your Dornier looks great! I've got one in the stash, and it's tempting... ;-) leemitcheltree wrote: | LOL.....a 1/144 concurrent build as well as the 1/48th....jeez, Chukie-boy....you're my hero.....I wanna be just like you when I grow up.... In truth, it's quite entertaining.....prolly the bestest WIP series I've yest seen on the 'net. Can't wait to see the next spellbinding installment.....stay tuned....same bat time, same bat channel. Thanks again, mate. |

Hi, Lee- Thanks, and hope all is well in your neck of the woods! raider83 wrote: | Wow again. Just wondering though, are you going to pick out any detail in the bomb bay with different colors for wires and such? don't mind me asking dumb questions |

I don't mind you asking at all, raider- but the answer is: it's about as done as it gets. The good folks at Curtiss seem to have been spray-gun happy, and the bay was blasted with interior green. Easier for me, eh? ;-) lexesbenz wrote: | Chuk your writting and art look very familiar, by any chance were you an art teacher in Syracuse, NY? |

Well, lex, I was assembled in a top-secret facility in the late fifties as a countermeasure to Soviet mecha-clone experiments. Several of my production run managed to escape the vast underground complex and infiltrate common society. It could be that your old teacher is one of my tank- mates. :-D Luftwoller wrote: | leemitcheltree wrote: | Chukie-boy....you're my hero.....I wanna be just like you when I grow up.... |

Thanks, Guy- Lee handled you question pretty well in his subsequent post (thanks again, Lee!) I inherited a bunch of wonderful stuff from my wif'e dad, blees him. His dad was a toll-and-die maker, and I've got his toolbox full of goodies. I like to think he'd approve of them enjoying a retirement of their own, making models. 8-) Jim Barton wrote: | Chukw, I see you spent your July 4 on Manhattan Beach! When I was a kid, my granddad lived just down the road in Redondo Beach; I myself was raised in the Pasadena area, so I'm quite familiar with L.A. geography. Getting the wings on is another BIG step forward! Sure, there's always more to do, but now that's when a model plane actually looks like a plane! It's all downhill from here; your plane will be in its display case before you know it. |

Hey, it's a small world, Jim- I live in North Redondo. It's really fun to watch the pile of bits and pieces grow smaller, and the plane's silhouette changing as it does! Cheers, mate! namrednef wrote: | Hey! And thanks chukw! I was wiped out last night and turned in early. But here you were this morning! Fabulous.....first to last! As always.....I learned something and was entertained! Thanks again! |

Thanks, Nam- I always feel like I'm keeping you up late, and on a school night, too. ;-) B-17? Well, I've got one in the stash- will all the goodies... davew6003 wrote: | I am sad because this build is getting nearer and nearer to completion....then I am glad again to know a 1/48 B 29 will be next. |

B-29? Got one of them, too! Thanks, Dave- but don't hold your breath on that one- life might be too short! =-O
