Greetings! My name is Charlie, you might have seen my user name on some of the other boards "Chasd25".
I've been a long time reader of FSM, for the most part since '88. I'm mainly interested in 1:48 WW II aircraft modeling, and sci-fi garage kits, but I've been known to do some modern jets, ships, and the occasional tank.
I took a long break from modeling styrene kits (4-5 years to be exact) while doing mainly resin, and vinyl garage kits. I recently started modeling aircraft kits again.
After looking long and hard at the unbuilt kit stash, I decided to adopt a new modeling philosphy. I've switched for the most part to a "out of the box builder", (with the exception of the aftermarket decals).
I used to complete 1-2 kits a year before, so far I'm at 6 built for the year, with another 3 on the bench close to being completed...I'm hoping to end the year with an even dozen completed kits.
Anyhow, looks like a great board, I look forward to participating.
