Talk about your grand-scale projects! The MAZ is a huge beast and the dimensions you've laid out for the finished item prove that beyond a doubt. Ought to look very impressive once you have it finished. Thumbs Up [tup]

Hi,

Thank you for your nice words.

Here is a camo update.

Let the masking tape roll !!!!!

Ok, same kit, no tapeCool [8D]

Then I put it on the diorama base

When I put the BMP-1 that will fit the flatbed one can see the MAZ cries out for washes, pigments, stains...

Hope you guys like it.

Regards

Nice work on the masking and camo pattern...with something this size I'm sure it required a lot of time and tape to pull it off. Thumbs Up [tup]

Yeah, me too! Keep them pics coming. I love that heavy Russian metal. They say about the Russian technology "gnyotsa, nye lamyotsya" - which means in Russian - it bends, but it doesn't breakCowboy [C):-)]. Good luck with your project and have a nice day

Very nice build! The MAZ looks new compared to the BMP-1, may need a bit weathering. I'd rather equip the MAZ with more powerful armor - such as T-55 AD1, just my preference.

Glad to see this make over to Finescale as well;

That Maz really needs some weathering. I want to pick up this kit oh so badly, but looking at the size of it, I'm not sure I'd ever have space to display it anywhere.

Hi,

After a long time with no update, here comes a 95 % achieved project... still in need of details to be added before the end (guns paint, windscreen and wipers, figs camo to be corrected, rear view mirrors.... )

The truck went thru washes, oil paint nuts wiped down/off, oil and grease stains, rust, pigments...

Let's start with the title, hopefully obvious enough :

Then ...

I still hesitate, wondering if I will spray a varnish coat or not.

Hope you like it !

Richard
