I had a feeling you'd be the first one to post a built up one. Art Instructor did a decent job on this one. It doesn't look like he used any of the PE parts to build up the crane though. Too bad, as it provides much more detail...

You just had the feeling now? I've done that for years! ;-) I agree with you with you about his work on this one. I don't know what PE parts were left out, will ask him about them.

Sign - Ditto [#ditto]  I don't know what you said, but it was fun trying to pronounce it LOL.  Maniac, it looks pretty good weathering wise, but, maybe it's just me, but the cable looks like it's string!  I know that's what it is, but you can see some of the threads from the string, which can happen when paint is added.  The string swells, and some threads come loose.  They are really tiny.  Too bad he didn't use scale cable, would have looked much better!

well I myself am working on the old Tamiya Panzer IV Ausf D (not the Munition Panzer)and I am using the Tristar Panzer IV road wheels and suspension conversion kit. So far it looks pretty good so lets see if it is almost as good as Art Instructors. Here is an odd question does anyone know if the Ausf D carried a Anti Aircraft mount on the coupla or was that carried on the later model Panzers (E through H)? And what year was the D discontinued infavor of the E model?

Thanks for more comments since my previous reply!

FingersEddie, yes, now it's very hot in Bangkok, temperature can be 40 celcius all days from 8AM to 5PM. Luckily we've had rain almost daily. That helps a lot.

James, we don't have the scale cable, just built it out of the box. The supplied strings look OK to me.

Mikeym, why do you have to mix parts from Tamiya and Tri Star? What's the point?

Because I can't afford the Trumpeter or Dragon Panzer IV LOLLaugh [(-D]

and besides it is a working suspension.

I see. This Panzer IV from Trumpeter costs even higher than any Panzer IV from Dragon. But I think it's worth the cost anyway.

ps1scw, I've never been at Soi Cowboy. But I think it's business as usual there.

BTW, Zokissima, I asked "Art Instructor" about the unused PE parts on the crane. He said they gotta be the crescent-shape grips that hold the projectile. He tried to use them but they were stiff, he could not bend them into that shape so used the plastic parts instead. He also trimmed down to make them look thinner. If you are successful in using the PE parts please show us some pics!
