It has been a couple of years since the last Military Veterans GB. I have spoken with Kenny Conklin, who ran the last one, about the prospects of doing another. Just looking for expressions of interest at the moment, probable start date wouldnt be until mid-year, to allow for other GB to clear. So if you drove it, crewed it, flew it, (flew in it) sailed on it, or worked on it, and can model it, and are interested in the Military Veterans GB II, lets have a show of hands. Paul. Start Date 1 July 2009 * No crossover builds please. * YOU must be the veteran (its great to remember a relatives service, but perhaps someother time) Wirraway (Paul). I'm interested! Just wonder if UN service also counts, and also if National conscript service counts?

Maybe a bit off topic, but has anyone ever felt like doing a group build dedicated to our relatives who served (Dad was in the Gator Navy, Grandpa was a Navigator on various Patrol Aircraft in the Navy, and my Great Grandpa was in the Field Artillery back during WWI) conducted in the same manner? Might be fun. Only thing I crew now is a desk, but was a M109A2/A3 PL and a M109A6 BC back in my Artillery days... A foreign area officer now and work with the ROKs a lot... Perhaps a K1A1? Anyway, all the best.!
Cheers,
Matt
If we increase the size of the penguin until it is the same height as the man and then compare the relative brain size, we now find that the penguin's brain is still smaller. But, and this is the point, it is larger than it *was*.

Yes! Would you allow me to build somthing my grandfather or great uncle crewed? My great uncle was in a Sherman and my grandpa was in Austraulia. He got a ride in a P-61 so I could do that with him in it. Or should this be a seperate GB?

Bish- Yes and Yes ! Swedish Mick - Yes and Yes ! J'Mart- come on !! spill the beans ! Boba Fett- I think we will keep it true to the sprit of the first Military Veterans GB. I(ie: YOU have to be serving/ veteran !) So git down to the recruiting office young 'un ! Squeakie - Yes and yes. If it brings back some memory (pleasurable or otherwise) of your service, go for it ! We will be asking for stories at some point ! Paul

John, I know that last time Phil H was allowed to build his dads F-111, but I would like to keep this to ex/serving personnel. Thanks for your input. Paul.

I was in the first GB and had a hard time picking what aircraft to build so this would give me the excuse to do some more. I have been doing this as my own personal GB for years so I have plenty of subjects to choose from. Steve Semper Fi

With a mid year start time, I am defintely game for this GB. Although I have already built all my "owned" rides. I guess this would be either my one way rides or others in my unit.

I really urge you all to put this together, and if anyone needs research help, please let me know. Thank you for your service, and I would think that this would be a really nice forum to follow. Bill
