I know it is a bit off, but what would you like to see Bill do to commemorate his 100th?
My choice is the: VW Type 166 Schwimwagen
Bill should give us a list of kits he would like to build. Then when we could vote on which one we think should be #100. What do you guys think?
Erik
I like the idea, guess I started something. How about it Bill.
Rob
Sounds great Bill. At the rate your pumping these kits out, it should be in a couple of weeks
I'm really looking forward to this, the big 100, way tooo cool.
wbill76 wrote:The idea has merit...but I have 75 kits in the stash right now along with a lot of different accessories. Rather than put it to a vote right now, let's see how things go with 97-99 and as I get closer to #100 I can see what I've got on hand, what's interesting to me at that point in time, and then I'll post up some things and let the group decide. How's that for a compromise?
I like it.

Believe it or not I've actually built Shermans in the past but ultimately had to reach a fork in the road in terms of kits, references, etc. and the Germans won out. The only Allied piece of armor in the stash right now is the Trumpeter KV-II.

Nothing personal, but please don't make that your 100th. LOL
Have you done a Jagdpanther?
Have to agree that would be kind of anti-climactic Eric!
I have built a JP a long time ago (DML D-Day special)...and have the two latest Smart Kits in the stash as a matter of fact.

Hmmmmmm............
Sounds like a definate maybe dodge of the question at hand per se...know what I mean...Have you ever run for office?
#100 has to be BIG LIKE TEXAS!!! How about a 1:16 Tiger!!! or better yet one of those 1:8 metal things!
Heck, just build a friggin' tank 1:1 in your garage and have the whole forum over for a party and a ride!
Well, you guys know what I think....a wreck all the way
What ever he builds has to different, how about that list Bill so we can choose the #100??
Patience guys, patience! I will post the list as I get closer to #100 so you'll have to wait a little while for that to happen. It's still a few months off. I promise that the choices will be worthy ones, but I don't even know what I'm going to have for dinner tonight, nevermind what I'm going to be building 3-4 months from now!
There are several potential projects that I have that could qualify for #100. It won't be a 1/16 KT for sure and may actually end up being a smaller vehicle but with a big heard...who knows?
OK Bill we'll wait, but it ain't easy.
Bill, I've been wondering how and when you started the count. Was it a simple thing like counting the models in the display case. For me it's easy, a wopping 2 models on the shelf. I would have to count all the indtruction sheets to see how many I built in the past year or two. Like Edmund said, my reading skills needs work, I may have read it somewhere but if you could enlighten m, it would be appreciated.
I Don't mean to be a pain in the a** with myobvious questions, it had me wondering last night.
Rob,
I had to reconstruct the list using kit instructions (I save all the instructions from completed kits just like I do the spare parts) and photo dates since I started taking pics. I also have all the built kits still on hand, so that helped cross-check too.
For the curious, here's the current inventory list. I have a separate list (won't post it here) of the AM stuff that I also have on hand to go with the different kits. Virtually all of them have at least 1 item or another associated with them depending.
Holy cow Bill, that's one hell of a list. It puts my meager 6 kits to shame .
