I don't know if its armor, close enough I guess, I've never posted outside the aircraft forum so go easy. This is going to be part of a lancaster diorama that Ive been working on, off and on since 2006, geeze... The kit is the 1:48 Accurate Armour kit, all resin and photoetch, not the easiest build but not too terribly hard. I don't know if there's a single detail missing from the kit, the only thing I did to stray from building it OOB was to cut out the windshield frame and replace it with clear plastic. There was some kinda warped pieces but glued in place they have kept straight. I'm glad someone on the finescale forum pointed out the existance of this kit to me because I was pondering how I was going to stratch build it, I'm sure it would have looked nowhere near as nice.
I'm actually not quite finished as of these pictures, some paint touchups to do. One question I have is how to replicate worn off paint on a steel body? I'm used to aluminum airplanes but I don't imagine that would look too good on this. Thanks for checking it out.
First off let me just say to the darkside and I hope to see more of you hangin' over here.
Second, your build is stunning! I've never seen this vehicle built before, but it looks great. The only thing I'd suggest is next time dull down the back area with all the pipes and guages with a burnt umber wash. Since it's a bit too shiny and clean back there. As for replicating worn off paint on a steel body, you could simply do some drybrushing of a darkened steel. Or you could go over some of the raised detail with a graphite pencil(but this is usually just a finishing step done over small areas.)
Thanks for the tips, you think dry brushing steel would dawn on me since I dry brush aluminum on things that are supposed to be aluminum..... but somehow it didn't....
I'm not sure how much armor I'll be able to back this one up with, I do have some 1:48 bicycles for the same diorama that I have yet to tackle, maybe if I mount a gun on them they'll count?

There are several techniques for simulating chipped paint. Since you've already applied the final coat of paint, dry brushing aluminum paint as suggested or using a silver permanent marker or Prismacolor pencil are two ways.
For future reference, there are several techniques to achieve this before you apply your final coat of paint. For the salt chipping method see

Some people use sand instead. Others just use rubber cement and stab it here and there randomly with a brush, then just rub it off after applying the final paint job.
