It amazes me....the silliness of the responses I get for my prayers and daydreams. I had another one today. But first, a story from last year. I was deer hunting, hadn't seen a deer for a few weeks, so, I ask the powers that be to send me a deer. Not 5 seconds later, along comes a young buck, out of range, no shot. I think to myself, "real funny, send me something I can shoot at. (shoot "AT", should have left out the AT) I missed three very easy(guess not)shots. Anyway, today, I'm out diggin in the yard, daydreaming about finding a dinosaur or mastadon, something neat. Two scoops later, what do I find in my shovel........
Rediculous!!!!!!
Guess I need to be a little more specific when I ask for something!!!
Normally I don't respond to posts like these, amusing as they are. However, there is an old saying that dates from time when our ancestors dimly wondered if there might be gods. It is probably the first commandment ever formulated for human (or near human) interaction with deities:
DO NOT TEMPT THE GOD(S). THEIR SENSE OF HUMOR IS COMMENSURATE WITH THEIR POWER.
I think we've all had similar experiences. But something just occurred to me: computers do exactly what you tell them to, no more, and often less, i.e., nothing. When you ask the powers that be for something, you either get exactly what you ask for, or nothing. Food for thought.
