Trumpeter E-10: Update July 6: filter, wash and scratch
|
|
|
|
I still haven't posted the final beauty shots of my E-100 but things are going so fast with the E-10 that I decided to post some shots of this little beast. It is nearly finished for weathering (meaning still pristine and squeaky clean). Okay, without further jawflapping: Now I am quite sure that the camo isn't correct and that the serial number is probably wrong, so..........................![Smile,Wink, & Grin [swg]](/emoticons/icon_smile_swg.gif) Cheers, Julian

She's a looker for sure. I do like the camo myself so don't be too hard on it!

Thanks for the feedback, the tow wires are hideous at the moment I agree. Everything still has to be weathered so the bright shiny steel is a very temporary thing I can assure you ![Smile [:)]](/emoticons/icon_smile.gif) Julian

Looking good Jullian, I can't wait to see it weathered. Sure is tiny compared to the E100. Rob

Thanks Guney, have added the filters and plan to do the "dance of the oil dots" today to fade the paint. Seeing my experiences with the E-100 I will leave "Indian Red" in the tube this time . Julian

Thank you Joe, the build does need dirtying up, much too sharp and clean at the moment. Julian

You got me to reading Julian. I had never heard of this vehicle. Very cool. I love tank destroyers! I can't wait to see this one finished. Consider yourself saluted with 14 Thumbs Up! ![Thumbs Up [tup]](/emoticons/icon_smile_thumbsup.gif)

First round of filters, oil dot washing and first scratches have been added. Wheel hubs are too dark at the moment due to layer of Lifecolour "oil" which will be toned down to fit in better. More scratching and dirtying to follow this stage. Herman the German version II gives an idea of the size of this little monster. Thanks for looking, Julian

Looks great Julian!! Did you create the weld seam across the front of the upper hull? If you did that was a nice touch.

Hi Edmund, yes, treated myself to a micro soldering iron and this was my first experiment in touching up a weld seam (and something I will do on a regular basis with the following models) The seam on this little guy just screamed for attention ![Smile [:)]](/emoticons/icon_smile.gif) Julian

Julian, both of these are really nice builds and weathered very realistically. Are there any plans for the E-25 to add to these two paper panzers? Keep up the great work.![Thumbs Up [tup]](/emoticons/icon_smile_thumbsup.gif) doc

Nicework on both pieces. You know at first I didn't care for the design but when I saw a build up with the skirts in place - totally changed the look and my mind. One now sits in my collection. Again, Nice job!
