Geschutzwagen Tiger fur 17cm Kanone72(Sf)

Trumpeter's Geschutzwagen Tiger fur 17cm Kanone72(Sf) by "Art Instructor":

This is from my latest page. There're more digital pictures of this armor (taken with figures) there:

Comments and suggestions are welcome!

hi MM, thats a huge paper panzer! i really like thge camo, but i think the interior of the fighting compartment is a little lonely, maybe a crew or some equipment or empty shells could fill the void?

It looks okay, but in my opinion it's way too clean!Shock [:O] Seriously, those huge hull sides are just screamin' for some sort of pin wash or weathering. Tell Art Instructor to get out the washes and slather this beast up. Then it will really *pop*.

Man that looks cool. I really have to get me one of those kits someday. Besides adding a bit more weathering the camo coame out fantastic.

calvin, there are more pictures on my page and some pictures include figures (though they're observers, not crew). The tank don't look lonely in these shots:

mg.mikael and scratchmod, AI has been requested by two local modelers to build armors in a different style, not his usual heavily worn and weathered. So he built all armors in this page (5) differently, i.e., lightly weathered, for this page only. After this he'll resume his trademark style. And for this armor I gave him special instruction not to weather it because it's only a prototype tank, it didn't fight in the war therefore there's little wear and tear. ;-)

Thanks so much, armornut! I'll pass on your kind words to AI. You mean you'll build this one into a dio?

Very nice work from Art Instructor. It really does look better to me with the officers in their getting their briefing.

hi MM, yep my dio will be along the lines of when the allies actually found this beast inwork in a bombed out factory, unfortunatly its only in the planning stage and i have to make room for it once i start it.since this is only a prototype vehicle my dio will not be "historicaly accurate" and will be of my own imagination, however it should be cool.could take me years to start as summertime and my better half(wife) are monopolizing most of my model building time.i hold no rights to my idea so if you and AI think of something similar or close no harm no foul so have fun.

Thanks so much for your kind comments on the build, PaintWithBrush!

armornut, it's good to know that you're going to include this beast in a dio. I hope you'll find time to start his project soon. I myself have no plan because the dio base will have to be big, not suitable for me who's running out of display space.
