I'll start out with the latest on my Secret Santa gift from a buddy on the LEM. Since I was decaling the Horten, (as shown in the Aircraft Forum) I decided to get the decals on my 1/72 scale Sdkfz 234 8-rad as well. Now all I have to do is fix the silvering, dullcoat and weather it and it'll finally be finished:
Next, on my 1/72 scale Italian 90mm gun from Italeri I painted the crew. After a few touchups here and there and some weathering on the crew, I should be able to call this done.
Now on to all the armor I started today.
They are all Patton tanks.
This first one is a 1/72 scale Revell of Germany M-48 A2C which is going to be in the postwar German Army before they upgraded them with new equipment. Since this is a re-issue of the old ESCI kit, (with additional sprues) I decided to modify the wheels a bit. Instead of having the two roadwheels per axle/torsion bar as is supposed to be ESCI took the lazy way and molded a super fat wheel/tire. So, in order to give the illusion that there are two roadwheels per axle/torsion bar, I took my file and filed a groove down the middle of all the wheels.
Next I assembled most of this tank. Now there is only the tracks and detail parts to add on after I paint it:
Next, I started a 1/72 scale Revell of Germany M-60A3 with the Dozer blade. I got a little over half of it assembled:
I still have a ways to go on this one. It will be a US Army tank, most likely in the MERDC scheme.
This last photos shows my last two tanks I started. They are both 1/72 scale Revell of Germany M-60 A1's with the ERA reactive armor. One of these will be Italian and the other will be for my US Marines.
That is all I have to show so far. Thanks all for looking and comments are welcome. Also feel free to check out my progress on my models that I posted in the Aircraft and Helicopter Forums as well.
Stay tuned for more....
