Has anyone out there had any recent experience building MPC's old 1/16th scale '63 Corvette split window kit? I'm in the process of working on a mostly scratchbuilt short track stock car, and could really use some decent representations of some late 50's/early 60's front suspension pieces... in particular the upper and lower control arms. So far in every 1/16th scale kit I've bought, no matter what the subject matter or manufacturer, the front suspension components consist of nothing more than simplified blobs. I can scratchbuild all that stuff, but it would sure be nice to find some decent kit-supplied items that I could "finesse" into what I need. I have a shot at buying that Vette kit from a collector, but I'm a little hestiant to pay the big bucks only to discover another box full of "blobs".. (LOL) Any info would be much appreciated...
