Hi, I have a Badger 180-11 compressor that I would like to run inline through a small external tank, does anyone know where I can find a small tank like that? Thanks, Rich

I checked there before and only found the tanks with a single inlet/outlet that you fill up with a regular compressor first. Is that what you mean? If so, do you mean there's a way to convert those to receive air from the compressor, while discharging to the airbrush at the same time? Rich

The way I have mine hooked up is go through a coiled hose to a dryer then to a regulator then a T fitting one side to the tank and other side to a quickconnect for air hose. you dont need an in and out you can do that with the t fitting, also put a 0 to 30 psi air guage on the air regulator to set your air preasures

Thanks...I don't know why I couldn't see that in my head? But then again, my head's been that way since I turned 40 or so (about 8 years ago), and it hasn't shown any signs of improvment. Rich

Yep thats what I did as well. Tank acts as a dampener and stops the pulsations caused by the compresser. Mike

Thanks Mike, Hey, what size tank(s) did you guys go with to add to your compressor(s)?

You can find the type of air tanks you want at performance truck/jeep air system supplier such as Viair. Aluminmun tank is a bit more expensive than steel ones, but you don't need to worry about rusting. You can also buy an airtank upgrade kit from TCP Global. The kit include all the hardware that you may need and a 1/2-gallon tank. Search for "Item Number: ABD ET-20". | Hey, what size tank(s) did you guys go with to add to your compressor(s)? |

The Badger 180-11 compressor is very low powered. So the smaller the tank the better. I would not use anything bigger than 0.5 gallon. Otherwise, it will take forever to fill the tank. I would strongly recommend you consider upgrading your compressor before adding a tank. I posted what I did to add a 1-gallon tank to a Paasche DA400 compressor. The DA400 puts out many time more air at much higher pressure than the Badger 180-11, thus, better suited to fill a tank. Good luck with your project.

Great! I just bought a 5 gal tank at Harbor Freight like Sherman suggested, (it's the smallest they carry), so I take it that it's much too big huh? Okay...back to square one! Well, I think I'll just use the compressor by itself for the time being. With the holidays coming up, and my lack of funds becoming very noticable, I'm just going to research a bit more, and do this after the first of the year. I just glanced over the segment you wrote regarding adding the one gallon tank. I'll read the entire thing, and perhaps I'll just get a better compressor and forget the tank? Who knows, I'll just give it some time and do it in Jan or Feb. Thanks, Rich
