of course not but it's always optional, custom scratchbuilding is fine.

Ok. It was a little unclear how you phrased it in the beginning. I noticed you edited it. Thanks for clairifying. First, I plan on scratching a new ejection seat. The AMT thing is junk...

JAger, could you sub this size badge for the one on page 1? Thrawn here helped me play around with it a little.

| I have a B1-B that I'm willing to enter . . . . I've got a space shuttle also, but will it count for the build if it is painted normally? |
|
yes

Well, I began building today. The cockpit is a piece of... well... I can't type that word, but you get my pioint. I plan on modifying the tub, and partially scratching a new seat, while using bits of the old one. Now that I think of it, I have the seats of a derelict F-14 around. Might have to take a look at that... Anyway, The side consoles need some stuff, so I'm gonna scrounge around my spares. I have a set of aircraft carrier crew, along with some pilots (HAsegawa) I assembled one of the pilots, and it looks great. I have some tiny bits from the spares that I want to add to the helm. Aside from that, not much else has changed.

Ok. I got the seat out. The thing is a gem! I plan on adding to it, and modding the side consoles with the Revell parts. Why could'nt AMT do that? And the AMT kit is like 20 yrs newer? That is one company which I strongly dislike...

Is it too late to get in on this GB? I've got an Academy M1A1 that's not really accurate enough to do a factual build on, but they build up so easy......
Will work for Sherman parts......

Well I've made up my mind on the kit I'll build for the GB. It's the 1/72 Kotobukiya JGSDF AH Hellhound from Patlabor 2. I'm building it as a US Army AH-94A Apache II.

couldn't find a 1/48 scale T/72 that i planned (already converted the tank crew they look nice) Anyhoo i'm changing myself to an "apocolypse" pattern M1a2 just what that is i'll leave you guessing but just so you know there will be no t72.

Hi Falchimjager! This group build looks like the perfect setting for this kit, a 1/144 Monogram set of US and USSR strategic missiles. An appropriate scenario will be generated as work ensues! Not much detail on these but they should be good for a whole heap of trouble whenever or wherever they show up!

This is going to be a fun one....... Thinking late last night (always a recipe for trouble) that WW3 would almost certainly involve the Middle East........hmmm.....

So there I was, deep into the "man-room", waiting for paint to dry, and I thought: "Why not start my M1?". Nothing motivates me like having the lower hull started, so off I went. The Acad kit builds up this far in a few minutes, so no biggie there....the upper hull was hugely plain, and soft in detail, so I pulled a Trump upper hull out of the parts bin and checked it for fit. Glue followed, and all I need is one weld seam. The Trump hull had a bit of warp to it, so some bracing inside is next. I also checked fit on an Acad M9 dozer kit, and it's close enough to work with very little mod. I'll probably end up with something that looks like an M1IP with a 120mm gun. Details to follow...... Nice and simple so far.
Will work for Sherman parts......
