Sorry about that......Just picked her up today.

The old Revell 1/48 scale.  Doesn't seem like much of a kit, but it's fairly big and will look nice next to the rest of my 1/48 pieces.

Cheers

I have the colors for that! Wink [;)]

I might have to start yet another NMF build! Go ahead just twist my arm!

In fact I used your SNJ powder on this one I'm working on.

Krylon gloss black under coat, SNJ powder buffed on and a coat of Future over the top. Not bad for a no airbrush NMF.

Re: Interest in a NMF Build Group ?

Randy,

I'll hop in on this one. I have a Tamiya P-51D that I want to do in NMF. I have the A/M decals for a "Yellow Nose" bird. This will give me an excuse to get this thing started and done.

This was my latest and only attempt at a NMF

Can't wait to do another one.

Regards,

Jeff

You are in firesmacker and welcome. Can't wait to see your build. I am still trying to decide which of two to build for this GB. Looks like the thread will be moving over the the Group Build tomorrow. Oh my first BMF build was a P-47 bubble top also here she is.

Vett, I think I will build a 1/48 p-47, but it is only 50% Metal.

I would be interested in joining with a 1/48 Tamiya P 51D. I will be finishing it using Alclad II if that is ok.

Re: Interest in a NMF Build Group ?

I have to ask, does anyone have an objection to a NMF H-21 helicopter in the group ? I think it would be interesting to see because I havent seen many in NMF.

Going once

Going twice

It is a 1/72 Italeri H-21 Workhorse. I haven't decided whether to use SNJ powder again or if I want to try aluminium foil. I've used the foil for trim on cars, but never done a whole fuselage with it. The SNJ powder worked great so there is a bit of don't mess with something that works vs trying something new. Oh well I have a few weeks to decide.

Re: Official Natural Metal Finish Build Group
I have never done a NMF. But i have a few kits i want to do it on useing Alclad II. So, if you don't mind a NMF virgin joining in who wants to learn a few tips, i would like to come in with a Hasagawa 1/72 MiG 23. Its an old hasa kit but will allow me to practice with Alclad before i move on to some other kits i want to do. The build dates suit me to, i have a few to catch up on so won't be starting my build till later in the year.
