Re: The official Junior GB of 2009!
Hi guys!, Boba I sent you another PM.

And stick man, I'm glad you asked! I am building a late war Eastern Front diorama, with a scratch built, partially-destroyed building section, and three moderately converted Dragon figures.

Thanks, Jim

Re: The official Junior GB of 2009!

Graham I am way to old to join your GB at 43 but I love to see so many youngsters building models. I would be willing to donate a couple of kits as a reward to any GB members that has finished his build in the time aloted and has put a good effort into it. I have several kits in my stash that I will probally never get to and would be more than happy to see them build. The only catch is I only build WWII prop planes so thats is all I have to donate. When the time comes if you agree that someone is worthy of a reward send me their address and I would be willing to send them a kit. Just make sure they would be interested in a WWII prop plane as that is all I have to share. I would not want to send someone something that they are not interested in building. Let me know what you think. I will be looking in on your GB as I am interested to see how good you young guns areBig Smile [:D].

If you want a good book, actually a memoir, is "My War: Killing Time in Iraq" by Colby Buzzle, while not a MGS Stryker soldier(he is in strykers though) it is very good. Info may be hard to fing as the MGS is new and may have alot of classified materials, etc.

Re: The official Junior GB of 2009!

Sorry guys. This week has been murder on me, 3 baseball games from Mon-wed (we won all 3!!! Smile [:)]) and there's a contest tomorrow and my T-34 still needs more paint, weathering, and a base. Looks like I'm pulling an all-nighter...

Sorry about being a horrible host, but I'll update now and get it over with. New 1, welcome!

Soulcrusher, Thank you! I think just about everyone 'll build a WWII piston-powered plane, I have no objections at least. How many do you think you have extra? I'm wondering because I want to see if you could do them all, or I would have to beg some more from some other poor chap! Thanks for your offer!

20th is now the official start date!

Re: The official Junior GB of 2009!

Graham I have four kits that I would be willing to donate to the members who finish this GB. Just to be clear. I will ship the kit out only upon completion of the subject you have chosen for this  GB in the time frame alotted for this GB. I will try to see if mabye I can help you recruit some other forum members to help out also. The only real cost would be shipping. In the US this will not be that expensive but we have one problem. I just noticed Huxy is in Norway according to his Avatar. The cost of shipping a kit to Norway would far exceed the actual value of the kit. I am not sure what to do in his case. I would not want to exclude him just because of his location but it could cost as much as $50.00 dollars to ship a small package to Europe these days. We have to come up with some other way to reward him. Any suggestions?

Hmmm... Maybe I can throw in some cash to you and we can order a kit from a retailer there? Or just Send Huxy a check for a small kit that he wants. I'll kick in the money for S&H on that one, and you write the check for the kit. Maybe if everyone sent you like 2-3 bucks, it'll ease the costs on you. I'll have to work this out. And yes, please, try to find someone else with a surplus of kits that they'll never build in 20 lifetimes. I'll se what I can do as well.
