The timeframe works against you there I'm afraid Andy. The application of zim ended in Aug '44 and the introduction of the hard edge schemes came about in Sept-Oct '44. As a result, you would not likely find a hard-edge scheme on a JP with zim unless it was done by the crew in the field with a brush. The PE work is coming along nicely, your efforts and patience are paying off!

Hi ,Andy great work so far, I love it when somebody takes one of these oldies and starts to remake/remodel in in their own style and give it a really high quality finish. As for the camo question........ well I have not seen late hard edge with zimm. I have some photos from the factory towards the end of the war and hard edge no zimm. Actually stripes over primer. I will check for you and postaASAP. I could always be wrong as happens in this hobby when you state something, somebody just pops up a photo of the subject. Good luck. Terry. P.S. Remake/remodel, wasn't that a song by Roxy Music?

That's one mighty fine beast, that PE work is amazing, really, the zimm and PE are just screaming to me, (although it appears they are screaming "don't get any ideas, this is over your head!!" to me.) Very nicely done, I can't wait to see some paint and your exemplary weathing on her. Bill

Hi, Andy. I did not get any info regarding zimm + late primer Jagd's. The two photos I did get were of the one at Bovington when it had its stripes which matched out pretty much like the one at Aberdeen proving grounds which was photographed in colour and definitely did not have Zimm, think you are going to have to rethink your scheme. Terry.

You are moving right along Andy. If I could do P/E have as good as you I would indeed be a very happy man. Every kit I tried with aftermarket P/E ended up unfinished in the darkest corner of my cave. Joe

Andy - I have been watching and I hear you about the time for details....somehow I think that is the fun (and frustration) of modeling. Otherwise we would just all be assemblers!. Somehow...the red primer looks interesting....(but then again I am strange) Nice work as always. Always a pleasure to watch ![Wink [;)]](/emoticons/icon_smile_wink.gif) Rounds Complete!!

Hi all , not been on much lately as too busy, sorry. Managed to get some base colour on the little cat, Started of with german dark green , then painted green /black round edges and details as a preshade, then sprayed again with a light coat of green. Followed by a lightened coat on the middle of some of the panels as a faded coat.Cheers lads.

FANtastic. The texturing and scratchbuilt detailing are exquisite. Enjoying the WIP shots of the paint layering to add depth...very informative.

That zimm is just killer. It really adds to the character of this creature. I love the paintwork too. The attention to detailing you display indicates you must have a degree in pantherological aestheticisms.
