RE: My U-96 DAS BOOT in 1/72
Jeff and Sam are spot on ... look at how it's knifing through a big swell and the scuppers are flowing in unison. And the subtle touches of white here and there to simulate all kinds of runoff ... angled and planned to look like it's all flowing together and matched to contours of the hull. This isn't a build ... it's a sculpture ... a work of fine art in three dimensions..

Hey Andy !!
Thanks for the info re. "Tipparary". That is a "must have"
for me. BTW,certainly not "off topic". "Music to model by"
is an essential part of the hobby experience. I can look
at some of my completed work & be reminded of what
artists / songs featured in the construction.
Maybe someone can start a thread re. music
& modeling & we can see where it goes...

I am working on my webpage where I'll try to describe how I made the waves and swells... Right now I can tell you that the whole thing is 130cm in length, 30 cm width and about 10 kg in weight Smile [:)]
It took me only 3 days to build the sub and about 3 weeks to make waterWink [;)]

Agree 100%.

So whatever happened to the 'how to make realistic water' article?
Perhaps we ought to start a campaign for one!

I've just tried clicking on the link 'gruanwulf' and all I get is the usual '404 error'

Come on - let's have an update soon please..........

WOW WOW WOW. Can I repeat that?

I think the comment on more 'wet' also applies to the sub itself.

How did you do the white water streams coming out each side of the hull?
