I don't think "duckbill" was ever a name for the M10, it was a description of the late production turrent with the counterweight that looked like a ducks bill. At least that is the only context that I have ever come across the word 'duckbill' in relation to the M10. |

That could be very true. It could have been used to describe the M 10 with that particular turret. Makes perfect sense as to the term "duckbill" the way it stuck out there like a beak. Soulcrusher |

isn't it also called a "slugger" or is that another tank destroyer
my family calls me "ARMOR FREAK"... i don't know why.

The M36, M36b1 and M36b2's were known as "Jackson" or "slugger" they carried a turrent with a 90mm gun the M36's were built on M10A1 hulls, the M36B2's were built on M10 Hulls and the M36B1 were built on M4A3 Sherman hulls.

oh that is a hard one.. Can't get a real good view of the running gear or the gun but from the rear wheels, the track style and the placement of the exhaust I'll say the M22 Locust

Okay, how about this, to make it a little more interesting, the same person cannot answer twice in a row. Like you get one right, you say the question, someone else gets it right and you can't answer. David
