I still fell that I need to go over some parts of the hood.

I made my rocks into long range ones as I don't like the look of the shorter ones.

Oh an I also made my own brass fins.

An "Mobious" the handels had bean made using a moto-tool an some brass sheet cut and sanded to the right shape.

Awww man, this Katyusha is really startin' to come together!!Cool [8D]Thumbs Up [tup] I love the modified/and partly scratched long-range rockets. But how do you have enough rockets?.....wondering because if you take apart about half to add length to the other rockets, wouldn't you come up short?Question [?]

I will have all that I will need once the two rocks are Combined. As seen in this real photo in 1943.

Now I see, that pic just explained it perfectly to me. Because for a while their I was thinking, what are you gonna do for the lower half of rockets, but now it's cleared up.Wink [;)]

So what's up everyone?Question [?] It's sorta been quiet lately, as for myself I've been distracted by a 1/32 scratch prototype aircraft, so that's been eating up alot of time. As for my scout car, I haven't got that much done, so no update today. However today I have a good amount of time to spend on the bench, so I think I may do some hull work on the scout car.

My "Cobra has been sidelined to complete a couple other kits that have sooner deadlines. But those are almost out of the way and work will be resuming in the near future...

Re: Lend-Lease GB (1/1/09-7/1/09)

Hey Guys Here is my update on my M10 Wolverine. It was a very fun buld to do but had a few fit issues or it was just me.Big Smile [:D] I did have some problems with the tracks which I made the best of. Tried to do a dot filter but not really sure how it turned out. Will I build another one, sure will but may try some PE next time. So I call this one finished. Time to grab a badge. So guys tell me what you think all comment welcomed.

Bushi, your skills are vastly improving each time I see a finished build!Thumbs Up [tup] Great to see some added depth to the engine screens through weathering. I also like the fact you chipped up the decals, but it may be a bit overdone. Overall, nice build Bushi, but if I could offer up a suggestion, go over some of the details like the edges of the turret and other areas a crew would frequent with a graphite pencil(in other word's a very soft lead pencil) in order to give it a slight worn metal appearance. That would make your builds have that final touch that makes them *pop*.Wink [;)]

MG Thanks for the comments and you are right I need to highlight those areas. Well the decals are not decals. I made my own stencil and used my airbrush as I had ruined my decals. Wanted it to look well worn, but I see what you mean. Thanks again.

Dang, those decals are in fact not decals, but are airbrushed! I gotta give you thumb's up for that, because you had me fooled into thinking they were decals.Thumbs Up [tup]

:Bushi: that's some outstanding work there man. I got all my rock fins done and ready for paint, I'm also working on the grill's for the head light protetors.

Now all I need is to cut and shape them to fit.

Re: Lend-Lease GB (1/1/09-7/1/09)

Sorry for the little hiatus there guys.

Bushi: Nice job on the M-10. Your skills are improving fast! The airbrushed stars are a nice touch. Looking forward to seeing work Pz IV in the 1000 GB. Thumbs Up [tup]

White: Great job with the rockets. That is going to be one nice model when it is done.

Mg: You are making some good progress on the M-3 it seems. I like the looks of the interior.

stikpusher: Nice work on the P-39.

Glamdring: For being your first plane in four years, that is looking great!

Sorry if I missed anyone since my last visit. As for me, the Sherman is on hold while I am finishing up two other GB entries. Hope to start work again soon though.

Re: Lend-Lease GB (1/1/09-7/1/09)

stickpusher, white, warhammer - Thanks guys, I am glad you liked the work I did. The stars were a little hard to do. I am a little nervous about the 1000 roadwheel gb after the accident at the bench, but i think I have figured out a solution.

And to all the recent post the bulds look great.

Re: Lend-Lease GB (1/1/09-7/1/09)

Yep, it's been awhile since my last update.....probably because I got lazy with fixing all the things on this kit, so it's been sittin' to the side for awhile.Wink [;)] However, I finally got around to doing some work on the scout car.

I was pretty dissapointed with the kit supplied jerry cans that were pre-attached to the holder(poor detail & bad molding), plus they would be a prominent piece on the hull, thus they had to be replaced. So I scrapped those pieces, only after using one of them as a guide to scratching my own. Used some Tamiya jerry cans, then scratched the holder out of some stryene and alot of putty. Not to worried abot the interior of the holder, since the jerry can will hide any imperfections when it's glued on.(the jerry can straps will be scratched at a later time)

I also started the weathering process on the bottom of the passenger compartment. First had to apply a coat of Future to protect the enamel paint dry-brushed on. Then two washes went on, first was a burnt umber/burnt sienna, over that went another burnt umber wash.
