Re: Armor trivia

While I'm quite certain the ATV BBQ / beer cooler would have been popular with the troops, alas, it's development came too late to see action during the war. Dinner [dinner]

Remote starter vehicle.....like the so modified Kubelwagen....hum....I'm surprised they didn't do that with this vehicle.....good guess though!

Re: Armor trivia

While there were cable-laying Kettenkrads, this isn't one of them.

The photo's caption states that these were sometimes used as supply vehicles, that is not it's intended purpose.

There are two clues to it's use in the photo.......Whistling [:-^]

Re: Armor trivia

I'm guessing a track repair vehicle by the way that the track is off and there looks to be some sorta device in the traks.

Re: Armor trivia

It's use is not related to the broken track, at least not directly.

Hint; there is a tactical marking on the back of it, if you can identify it, you will get the answer.

Re: Armor trivia

The marking looks like a combination of the Armored car company mark and the recon company mark....so my guesses are:

radio vehicle

apc

ambulance

Nope.

The second clue is on the Panzer III.

Re: Armor trivia

Cant quite see the marking but could it be a Recon vehicle. Marking looks similar to the Kettenkrad recon Company.
