correct on the first question. was looking for the type of system the xm-150 was. this will be a clue for question 2 for the united states army. correct for the germans. what tank for the americans? incorrect for the europeans. was thinking of specific united states units. will have to word my questions better to avoid multiple correct answers.

correct. it has an automatic breech closing system that looked like a screw naval gun breech. this was to allow compressed air to be blown through the barral eliminating any residue from the combustible cartridge of the rounds. the missle had a brass end cap. what tank/tanks? was it used on in the us army? ps i have some experience in this.

corect though a sheridan is technically not a tank. the third part is a real inside baseball question. the first m60A2's were deployed to 1-32 armor, 3AD in frieburg frg in april/may of 1975. the second unit, 3-33 armor (my unit), 3AD in kirchgoens frg got their new tanks in aug/sep 1975. two battalions also deployed with 1AD.

well not to step on anybodys toes, but i just want to get this thing going again, and there were three questions with three guys that answered right. so, being one of the guys that answered correctly, i'll just start it again. once again, not to step on toes, just to keep it flowing. so next question. it'll be a two part question, but the person has to answer both of them in his post for it to be correct. How much does the M220-A2 weigh? and How many tracking wires are there on projectile?

Actually, the TOW 2 system, when configured for ground mount, weighs in at 256.5 pounds, without the Encased Missile. This includes your cases and the Missile Guidance Set, plus both the Day Sight, Night Sight and Collimator. With the Encased Missile, the entire system when configured for ground mount weighs 318.5 pounds. This means the Encased Missile itself weighs 62 pounds, even. Although it feels more like a hundred when it's on your back (I was an 11H and an 11BC2 back in the day). EDIT: Oh - and the TOW missile has TWO wires, although that part's already been answered. (I got confused at first, as the Dragon missile had three)
