David I have the Tamiya 1/35 Pershing in my stash. If you want I can scan and email them to you. It might be alot faster. Let me know I would be more than happy to do it for you.

Re: The official Junior GB of 2009!

Thats the upside to being old. I've been around long enough to have found lots of good stuff on the internet and I've bookmarked them all.  If you are looking for any references for WWII birds I have over 5 gigs of pics on my computor alone not including hundereds of books. You might want to bookmark that page. It has instructions for every Tamiya kit and some other brands also.

Alright i may join in on this with a 1/35 scale jungle dioram in ww2 (pacific) this is a maybe. As long as it's okay for me to use pre-assembled figures.

Re: The official Junior GB of 2009!

Welcome, Invertman jr.!  Water can be a little tough to model, but indeed do-able!

Remember to get some help from Papa Invertman as well!   Hah.. I wouldn't be in this hobby if it wasn't for my dad..  Long live dads!  Borrowing accounts and more than that! Big Smile [:D]

You guys haven't been raiding your dad'd stash of models have you? I do'nt have a son but my Nephew likes to build a model every once in a while and whenever he come over he always visits my stash closet and looks over all of my colection. He usally ends up going home with at least one kit!

Re: The official Junior GB of 2009!

My dad moved...  When I came and visited him, it was first then he introduced me to models.. When I was six.. I think.. May have been earlier?

I have really never gotten to sit down and build with my dad.. Well, some few times now recently Smile [:)]  And before when I was young..  But me and my dad do share most interests togheter. We got a really rare Father-son relationship Big Smile [:D]

Well, off to buying a soda..  Need that after a science test! Sitting at school, math in... 1 hour.. bleh! Tongue [:P]

Re: The official Junior GB of 2009!

I picked up modeling all on my own when I was seven. Way back in 1973. I was inspired to build WWII stuff by my Granfathers stories of fighting in France with the 4th Armored Division. He fought in the Battle of the Bugle and his tank was knocked out. He was a loader in a Sherman tank. When the tank was hit it exploded and because he was standing up on his seat he was blow out of the open turret hatch and into the woods where they found him latter. The rest of the crew were all killed in the explosion. The 4th Armor Division when into the battle with 220 Sherman tanks. Four weeks later they had lost over 200 of them in action. You never forget stories like that.
