Klaus, great progress and shes looking great. The camo is superb but what I really liked was the way the dullcoat brought it all together, that was the clincher for me. Camo, weathering and dullcoat is very nice Steve

Thanks Oliver, Charlie (here too), Chris and Steve! Despite the gloss coat and extensive use of setting solution I got some "silvering" due to air bubbles underneath some decals. Fortunately for me the slivering somehow blended with the weathering, so it doesn't pop to the eye too much.
Since I adopted the "standard procedure" successfully on many other models, I put the blame on the "quality" of the decals, that matches the overall quality of the model. Indeed, as you say, Steve, the dull coat brought it all together. I was astonished about the effect myself.

Thanks Chris and Charlie. Last weekend I didn't get much done due to Labor's Day and a Birthday-party. I hope to finish the rotors next WE and maybe even some of the small thingies ... have to see what SWMBO says about that!

Thanks a lot dupes! This update starts with an overview of the current status (it's starting to look like a helicopter!):
Now some close ups:
Main rotorhead
Tail rotor "before & after" SatCom antenna, "disco ball" and front wheel All parts, except the wheels, are just dry fitted, since they still need to be completed.

I'm almost there! This is the current status after adding all the tiny bits. Nose overview Formation Lights Miniguns (quite a pain in the ...) IR-Emitter, FLIR and Radar Exhaust Next will be the chaff dispensers, the IFR Probe and those spinning thingies ... how are they called ... there's two of them ...

Thanks psstoff995! Indeed I'm almost there ... with the helicopter. The base and the PJs are for after, as you say, and I'll probably post pics in the figures or diorama section.
Anyhow I first have to order a proper display case for this scene given the size of the helo.

Excellent progress Avus and it looks like you are almost completed it. The details added really put the kit over the top. It looks great to me and cant imagine what else it needs. Cant wait to see it on its base. Steve
