Hypotheticly speaking (my spelling is not the best as you can see): If I was to be working on say a 1/48 mpm p 63, and someone (without my knowledge or consent )was to switch the parts from the aforementioned box, with the parts in the Eduard P 39Q box, which is officialy part of the group build contained within this thread. And since the P 63 is not officialy part of this group build, and I was unknowingly actually working on the P 39Q. Would this be a violation of the "Rules" as stated on page one?

Well, I suppose if say maybe someone hid the box top, so you couldn't actually identify what the actual plane was, I mean, you couldn't really be blamed, could you? Of course, I'm not the GB Chairman, so his rules may be stricter...... Of course, you could always buy a practice kit to work on in the interim.......

The way I see it - yes, it would be breaking the rules. As far as I'm concerned, you just do what you want, because if you want to, noone's going to know, are they, and it will stop these annoying "hypothetical" posts.![Angry [:(!]](/emoticons/icon_smile_angry.gif)

I agree... helps pass the time. Beside, It give me the opportunity to demonstrate the total control and power a GB moderator has over the group by saying things like... NO CHEATING LOL just kidding ... about the ultimate power part... not the no cheating part![Big Smile [:D]](/emoticons/icon_smile_big.gif) Also, to shoot a hole in your hypothetical situation Dave, the P-63 IS officially allowed... see rule 2. I am happy to see that you are excited about the build in general. I have taken the plastic out of the box once already to touch the pieces, feel the smooth surfaces, the heady aroma of the plastic ...err...sorry... To analyze the steps of the build in a logical progression to most efficiently expedite a timely completion of the miniaturized version of a full scale aerodynamic airframe.

Great Models Webstore has the p-39 dual combo for $39.95. 2 complete profipak kits, with parts for many different versions, with all the bells and whistles for 20 bucks each. Again not trying to push anyone in a particular direction but that is a great deal.

Put me down for a Hasegawa P-400 back dated into a P-39F with Air-a-cutie markings from Pyn-up decals I might even do a Hasegawa P-39Q/N in Tiger stripes as the bomber bouncing fighters in the US to keep bomber crews state side alert while they ferried their aircraft in prep for going to Europe.

Glad to hear it... me too![Big Smile [:D]](/emoticons/icon_smile_big.gif) Since there seemed to be some others that were chomping at the bit .... What plans does everyone have? OOB? Lots of AM stuff? Any decisions on marking? Since I am doing an Eduard kit it already has a ton of PE. I am adding a Quickboost resin engine too. I had seen a set of marking for an NMF ‘Cobra. I may go with that if I can track them down. Can't recall ever seeing a bare metal P-39.
