All in all quite impressiveThumbs Up [tup]Thumbs Up [tup]. The water looks really good. About the only thing to improve it would be the bridge crew.

Well done.

Andy-I agree with Andy. You have such an animated peice here that the harsh weather crew would make it even better-I think Andreas makes that crew. But a great build as it is!!

Mieux vaut plier que rompre.

Very nice work ! One can almost feel the motion in this
diorama. Would love to see some lookouts on the tower.
Reminds me of the scene in "Das Boot" when U-96 meets
up with Thomsens' boat going in the opposite direction.
Keep up the good work !

Have a nice day and happy modeling,

Joe

Ya, the movie is pritty old but still great! I remember the first time I watched it - I was impressed by a story and a storm scenes...

Awesome looking diorama!
One point here.I think you should gloss it all over.
Not just a gloss coat.Use some more resin for a more wet look!
Bravo!

George

Now all you need is a figure of Jurgen Prochnov with a pair of binoculars.

Seriously, you have raised our silly little hobby to an art form.Cool [8D]

I think its a good idea))) I will apply one more layer of glossy stuff on the surface. It should make the "deep color effect"

I am working on my webpage where I'll try to describe how I made the waves and swells... Right now I can tell you that the whole thing is 130cm in length, 30 cm width and about 10 kg in weight Smile [:)]
It took me only 3 days to build the sub and about 3 weeks to make waterWink [;)]

an inspiration to this armor modeller to change over to the " Wet Side "

There was a music band called "u-96" in Germany back in 94'. They came out with the remix on the original soundtrack from the movie with the same name of the songWink [;)] I don't now if it was popular here in North America but in Europe that was a hit!!! And it still is for me... When I was building the sub this music came on my mind pritty oftenSmile [:)] It starts with the sound pulses from the active sonar.....oh.. its just awesome! Big Smile [:D] I belive you can download this song no problem from the Internet.

Sorry for little offtopicWink [;)]

Best water I've ever seen on a diarama ... you are the Claus Bergen of resin! And the Unterseeboot is a gem as well. Thanks for the sweet pics ...
