Put me in for a 1/48 AMT P-40K Warhawk, most likely in Kittyhawk MkIII RAAF/RNZAF markings.

Re: Lend-Lease GB (1/1/09 to 7/1/09)

Here's an official update on this GB, for all those following this thread and keeping tabs.

First of all, we have 76 days untill January 1st, 2009.Party [party] Yeah, I know for some modelers that seems like an eternity. But don't worry, it will be upon us faster then you think.

Secondly, this GB currently has 22 participants.Smile [:)] Which I consider pretty damn good, considering the fact we still have about two months untill this GB actually starts.

Finally, the Armor and Aircraft badges are up on the first page. Hope everybody is fine with them. The Artillery badge will be uploaded to the first page probably by Friday.

I looked into it and found the Buffalo Mk.1 (also known as the B-339E) was an export version for the RAF with Wright G-105 engine. But it was bought by the British through the British Purchasing Commission, before the Lend-Lease Act even started. So I'm sorry, I can't let this variant in, since it seems to have nothing to do with Lend-Lease. If someone finds info that says otherwise, I would be able to let this variant in.

Sorry no Buffalo Mk.1, but your still welcome to build something else, which I hope you do.

Put me down for a ship of some sort 1/700.  Got several possibilities HMS Avenger class carrier (US Charger class), Attacker/Ameer class escort carrier (Bogue class CVE), Wickes or Clemson class destroyer, and in the reverse Lend-Lease a Flower Class Corvette. Maybe a couple of others.  Will see what the wallet will allow.

Sorry lewbud, no ships allowed in this GB. Just armor, aircraft, and artillery.

Re: Lend-Lease GB (1/1/09 to 7/1/09)

I've decided to allow in ships, into this GB. So if you wanna build a ship you got in that stash, but was just waiting for the right moment, here's your chance!

All ships are allowed in that were part of the Lend-Lease Act. That means frigates from the Tacoma class, Clemson & Caldwell Class Destroyers, HMS Ameer class escort carriers, sub chasers from the SC-497 Class, and minesweepers from the Admirable class, are all allowed. But the list go's on and on. If your wondering if the ship you want to build was in Lend-Lease ask a question or check out this site, provided by lewbud: http://www.ww2pacific.com/llnames.html

 Hello,

mg.mikael, glad to hear you've decided to include ships. A diversified collection!

lewbud, thanks for the link. Had no idea the number of ships and receiving nations. Wow!

Looking forward to the start date.

I was wondering that since I am going to build a M10 Wolverine, I have noticed in all the photos I have found and downloaded that there is no unit marking. So would they have had markings  from the US unit they came from or no Unit marking at all?

Are you gonna do an American or Soviet paint scheme? If your gonna do a Soviet paint scheme these pics may help.

If you do an American paint scheme, the markings would simply look like the ones on these pics below. Hope this helps.
