Completed other side track for this build last night ,painted and weathered as described before. All thats left on the build is the rear end ,Exhausts, jack and bits. Then i may do some stowage and a couple of figs. I want this as a hurried escape or withdraw from somewhere and houseing a worn out and tired crew in need of a desperate break or something along those lines.

Terry ,Model and Redleg cheers . This week so far i have chosen figures for this project. They are one being from dragon but a changed head from Hornet and i have replaced the hand to a diferent possition, the second figure is from Wolf and out of resin. I like the umbrella and it goes well with what i wanted to portray for the small scene i want to put it in. I have made a cushion to represent one taken from a gypsys horse drawn kart. This adds a bit of needed colour to the vehicle . I made it out of bluetak yer i know crazy what you can make stuff from but it worked for me. i then painted one of the figs in a mid to late war camo scheme overalls. Painted in acryliks and the skin done in very lite coats of acryliks built up then finnished in oils , this i find works very well and doesnt leave a rough surface as i found was happenning with enamels. The last three pictures are actually the actuall size of the figure before you click to blow it up to the larger size so you can see what it looks like to scale.

the guy with hemmorhoids and the parasol....... ya gonna paint it pink to match the cushion? (not the hemmorhoids) Reminds me of the characters in Mel Brooks movie "The Producers". Again, this is a beautiful build BTW.

Hi, Andy great idea, the guy with the umbrella is straight from the famous series of Jagd's photographed during the retreat from france I think its in Rückmarsch Then and Now The German Retreat from Normandy by Jean Paul Pallud. I'll try find out more for you. Thats if you don't have it yourself already. Goodluck, everything looks brilliant so far and your figure painting is stunning. Terry

Stunning figure work, brother. Absolutely stunning. From now on, armored vehicles will be considered incomplete until they have something colorful from a gypsy's horse cart. Just a question - Is homeboy's headgear supposed to have white piping? Were the jagds manned by arty guys or panzertruppen? Or is this guy a grunt who's just along for the ride? And I'm still askin for a toot on the rust...![Whistling [:-^]](/emoticons/icon_smile_whistling.gif) ~J

Terry your spot on on the inspiration for this one and yes i do have that book then and now. Schnobbs cheers for your comments and yes post away it sounds interesting, Jthurston thanks man for lookin in and your kind remarks , the cusion has now bit the dust as i thought people didnt like it in the previous posts. I have given the officer a couple of filters now to tone down his camo a bit and yes he,s hitchin a ride as this is a time when there was a mad rush of a retriet from Normandy and the germans were hitchin rides on just about anything that moved. this particular jagd panther was actually towing another. Ive started the other figure and i still have to add the PE collars and badges on both.

Redone shoulder straps on officer and redone cap as to save on confusion as to where he belongs also added pe panzer badge and belt buckle. Done other crew member as a corpral and got reference from a good book so if hes wronge then he can stay wronge ( not the worlds best on pipeing colours and badges).Hey guys i was not too sure as to how people would veiw the cushon and i didnt want to exsplain where it was from and why so yer i liked it but was not 100% on it. well thats it for now.![Wink [;)]](/emoticons/icon_smile_wink.gif)

Andy, I too thought the cushion was a nice touch but understand why you removed it. Figures are coming along nicely as well, getting closer to the finish line.
