LCDR Lewbud reporting in. Been chasing bilgerats lately. I have the duty this evening so no rum for me. Bondo, she's coming along rather nicely, keep at it. CAG, the Hawk looks great. Evil Herc, don't worry about being slow, I still have last year's A-7 to finish.
Buddy- Battle plans rarely survive first contact. Don't believe me? Go on a family vacation.

Gentlemen, Tomorrow is Remembrance Sunday in the UK and Commonwealth, we give thanks to those who have served our country in all conflicts. We remember the fallen and give thanks to those who have served and who still in the service of our country. To show our support and respect we wear the British legion poppy. Each one bought raises money for veterans in need. This Sunday our nation will be led by Her Majesty the Queen in London at the Cenotaph and British Forces around the world will also stand shoulder to shoulder in a minute's silence for the fallen. "When you go home Tell them of us and say: For your tomorrow We gave our today... " Please take a moment to remember them. Thank you.

Wonderful tribute from the CAG! Our Veterans Day is coming as well. 11 Nov is the actual day I believe on the anniversary of the War to End all Wars end. Pity some seem to have missed that memo. Now there are present matters that have me concerned as well. Seems that there have been a trend of injuries amonst the crew lately. We need to reflect and brief on our safety proceedures here once again with 2 injuries I know and myself still recovering from one. Dave has broke a pinky playing basketball and Frank our own XO was involved in a vehicular stunt accident. ( Wild man) Since Dave posted his injury all dressed and treated I thought it only appropriate to show Frank as well to avoid concerns and rumors about his current condition. As you can see there is a lot of Damage where the optivisor was forced into his skull during the collision and has kinda permanently attached itself to his head. The removal was a touch and go procedure. But he looks like he will be fine once the bandages are removed. Now to review some guidlines abaord this ship! 1. Never drink alone and always check yer cup for er shall we say " Bondo Residue" 2. Always build and paint yer models in a well ventilated area and remember to breath between the fumes! Flattulance can be fatal and a silent killer! 3. Don't mistake your paint thinner bottle for the rum bottle. 4. If you fall overboard I got dibbs on yer rum ration. 5. No more than 6 woman at a time. Unless they are related to each other. 6. Always dress the XO and Dave up with a hemet of sorts. 7. Don't sail while texting or pass out on the rail road tracks. 8. When you cant tell if your deficating or puking or both happen simultaniously it is time to switch brands of booze. 9. Never ever let Bondo near the punch bowel! and lastly 10. Don't antagonize , feed or date alligators, Grizzly bears, or any other wild animals that can kill you. This includes jealous Gothy girls as well. Thank you for your time and remember these are not just words! But Words to live another day by!. Thank you and goodnight!

Roy, I just have to wrap my gift and send it so no worries from this end. I will email you when I have done so. After having giving up my work space for a week and mending fingers at the same timeI have been able to make some progress. Both main wings are complete and I've taped it up to check the alignment. Needed a fair bit of putty where the extra sprue was added to smooth it out. Gave the wings a coat of Mr. Surfacer and a light sanding. I'm happy with how they turned out. They just need the ailerons now. Next up are the tail surfaces. Hmmm... nothing I can salvage here. Traced out a template from the plans and built up several layers of sheet styrene to get the thickness needed. The heavy duty kitchen scissors came in handy for cutting the thick styrene. Here it is cut and filed to shape, now I just need to shape the leading edge.
