Yes, I know, everyone is bogged down with group builds. But I don't recall this subject being covered. Considering all the places in the world it fought and the diversity of nations it fought for, it deserves a tribute. Besides, I have the other half of my dual combo I want to build. I know at least one that will sign up and it may end up being a 2 man GB....NAH!!!!
So here it is...
The P-39 Airacobra Group Build
Rules are easy
-Start Jan 1 2007, and finish up Sep 30, 2007. If your close to done, a little late will be OK too. JUST KEEP BUILDING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
-Any version of the P-39 is acceptable, including p-400 and while technically a different aircraft, the P-63 is so closely related it's in too. And let's not forget the XFL-1 Airabonita, if you're up to the conversion.
-OOB or massive detailing scratched or AM all OK.
-Any livery
-As many entries as you can finish in the time frame allowed
-If you are also in the Secret Santa GB and the kit you get turns out to P-39, you may have that count for this build too. We commited to that GB 1st and it won't be fair to demand double P-39 builds.
Finished builds will go up on my site.
Pick your poison as far as size. As usual, please host the badge yourself

Aw, heck. I'm in. I don't even have a P-39, but I been eyeballin' 'em lately, what with all the kits out now.
I think I may modify mine to have the doors open like one of those sporty Italian cars..... LOL
wing nut! You are my hero!!!
I picked up a 1/48 Hasegawa P-400 (P-39) with a gift certificate I won at our local annual model contest and plan on building it very soon anyway. Count me in amigo!
wing_nut wrote:Welcome aboard Jon glad to have ya. By the way how is Rusty? Was he upset seeing a large cousin all browned and tasty on the table?
He actually got kinda quiet when he saw that big ol' bird sitting on the table.
He quit squawking so much, and even cleaned his own cage.
I think we'll cook up a turkey or chicken more often. Keep him in line.
Welcome all.

If there's still room? You were the "1 other" that I was counting on. You kinda started this so you are not only in, you couldn't get out if you wanted to.

I guess I just got so use to seeing it from the SSGB, I guess it is just stuck in my head. You're not gonna have Lars from Mettalica come after me for some sort of copyright infringement are you?

LOL! Yeah, he got alittle intense didn't he......
Nah..... I'll share the hat. May need help for an airline ticket for Rusty, though. He broke his wing trying to hitch a ride to a pizza place.
