I'm thinking of starting a WWI GB that will run from October 1st 2007 until December 31st 2008. So far, there a few of us interested in it (mostly newbies), so if you are too, drop a reply and hopefully there will be a bunch of us!
Here is the GB badge courtesy of Wing Nut (Thanks Marc!):
There are two rules for the GB, here they are:
1.) Any aircraft, any scale that served in any air force between 1914 and 1918 is eligible.
2.) Everyone will have fun!
That's it, pretty simple. Look forward to hearing from you!

Frank, Let me be the first to join. I have no idea what I will build but it will be one that Mike recommended.
Roy
Count me in too! Already got the kit picked out!
Frank, I'm going to build Eduard's 1/48 Airco DH.2......wide open cockpit, lots of visible framework, and rigging up the wazoo!
How 'bout you, buddy? Whatcha gonna buy?
I'd like to give this one a shot as well, but have no idea what to build. I'm leaning towards a Fokker D7 or Albatros D5.
Just need to see what's out there and pick up a kit.

i just may have too
PS: I will be checking out Hobby Lobby to see if they have Tamiya's Spitfire Mk1 and any WW1 kits. From what Mike said I most likely go with an Eduard's kit.

Ah nuts... I saw this in the aricraft section 1st and thought i was the 1st one joining up LOL Oh well whatever
I'm in. I just got the dual combo Eduard 1/48 Sopwith Camel. Got any ideas for the badge yet... not that I am in a hurry or anything

LMAO!!
Marc, Scott-
Glad to have both of you aboard!
Mike- Not sure what I am going to get yet, but hopefully will be able to find one of the Eduard kits you recommend. If not, I'll probably order one this weekend. At least it gives me an excuse to go to the LHS today! Also, I'm counting on you to post some pics of your AMAZING WWI aircraft that I have seen in other posts to inspire all of us! Truly, that is why I want to build one after seeing yours.
ruddratt wrote:Scott & Marc......awesome that you decided to join us! This is going to be a fun build, I just know it!
It's going to be a lot of fun, especially with some of the characters already here!

I'd consider it an honor, Frank!

Boy can I relate to that!

Plus it was an amazing time for flight.
If anyone here is looking for some good reference pics of what they're building, there's a good chance they may find some here........
