Polar Lights 1/350 scale Enterprise A build
I am new to this and have recently purchased a Polar Lights 1/350 scale Enterprise A. As I am a late comer to scale modeling I would really appreciate someone with extensive experience in the accurate building of this kit due to its expense. I would need someone to help with the build it is for my collection and I want to do as good of a job as possible. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

There's a lot you can do with that monster.  I'm starting to assemble what I'm going to need including the shuttlebay set lights, and engine nacelle details.  It starts after my NX-01 is finished.

All I can say is that this is a rough kit to get right. There are so many issues with this kit, it takes a volumne of text to explain what to do. I suggest waiting on the repop.

Seeing as how they plan to "repop" from existing molds, waiting won't do him any good.

Unless of course, you are referring to the AMT refits?  That's a different matter all together and not at all related to the topic at hand.  The gent is asking about the Polar Lights Kit.Cool [8D]

The PL 350 Refit is a fantastic kit.  Head and shoulders above the AMT kits of years past.

It has some extremely minor, (I mean, really minor) issues with accuracy on the lower planetary sensor array and the nacelles.  These differences are so minor that it isn't worth worring about, imo. Sure, there are some rivet counters out there that'll pick, just for the sake of picking.  There are also those out there that will bash the model because they have a personal beef with the folks that mastered the kit in the first place.

There are also several of these done as build ups online, step by step showing everything from assembly to final lighting and detailing.

It's a great, great kit that with alittle effort can be spectacular.
