IPMS Nats - Best Automotive

I heard a rumor that the Best Automotive winning entry (Ferrari) was stolen. Anyone know anything about this?

Also, does anyone have any decent shots of said award winning Ferrari. I'd love to see it.

Seeking one camel and one jezzailchi

At the Atlanta nationals, there was this really nice camel-mounted warrior, toting some kind of pre-modern long iron (jezzail). It was placarded as an "Immortal" or something similar, and it was 1/48.

The registration form was blank as to kit source.

We have model railroading colleage who urgently needs to know if there was indeed some kind of kit behind this work; he's working on a historical project about some railroad in the Sudan.

Can anybody clue me in as to provenance of this kit, or confirm this excellent model was cobbled from scratch?

Simply unbelievable. I still can't get over the number of contest entries.( Over 3000 entries for judging, plus another 1000 or so for display only). I believe it's an all time record for IPMS. Met Jeff Herne, Mark Thompson and Paul Boyer from the FSM staff. Also saw gunnery, lizardqing, renarts, erush , modelnut and several others (sorry folks, couldn't remember everyone's names). Pics will be posted soon. Can't wait for Kansas City next year! :D

The Georgia Dept. of Transportation, in their infinite wisdom, has decided to begin not one, not two, but at least five major highway construction projects on I-285 (the Atlanta perimiter highway) and many of the major arteries going through Atlanta. Expect delays of up to 1 hour or more beginning at 9PM EST tonight (Friday). Bless them
