1/72 Figures for my UH-34 Paddy Filed Dio
Posted by rtfoe on Saturday, July 24, 2010 12:31 AM

Hi ,

This is my first foray into posting a figure build. It's for my just concluded UH-34 Heli build. So far I've completed the crew figures. I had not planned for figures or even to put this Heli into a dio but I got adventurous. So, since I had time , I proceeded to add figures to the heli as it didn't seem right to have a pilotless heli in mid-air. I scrounged some old Airfix figures from a botched Bronco. Added new hands and split the legs apart to fit the joysticks.

The cabin gunner is from Preiser with Bondite helmet.

I added safety belt straps from Bondite.

And then painted them all.

Next I will be adding figures wading in the paddy field just being offloaded by the heli. With reference help from a couple of friends here in the forum, I've come to know that this particular heli ferried ARVN troops.

For now , the dio takes a backseat while I work on another dio. I hope this link works and takes you the UH-34 Dio post.

Thanks for looking.

Cheers,

Richard

Looks like some pretty great work there Richard---I haven't had a stab at  building figures this tiny--I'd have to say its a bit of a hire-wire act! Well done---they should serve well for your crewYesYes
