Shake up at FSM????????
Posted by John Lyle on Thursday, July 2, 2015 10:11 AM
I just heard on a facebook modelers site that there has been a major shake up at FSM. Is there any truth to these rumours??

Winters may be cold in Canada but at least there are no mosquitoes or blackflies

John, thanks for asking, and yes, there have been some changes at FSM. Matt is no longer the editor. I have been asked to step in as FSM's editor.

I was previously FSM's publisher and have worked at Kalmbach Publishing for 15 years, always as an editor until the past year. I started my magazine career editing Model Retailer, the hobby trade magazine.

In addition, Aaron Skinner has been promoted to FSM's senior editor. We will both be at the IPMS show in Columbus later this month and look forward to seeing our various contributors and modeling friends/ readers during the show.

I can promise you, and all our readers, that we intend to keep FSM at the forefront of the modeling world, still loaded with strong how-to stories and independent reviews each issue along with as much new product as we can humanly fit in. I know we've mentioned this before, but FSM also is working to update our website to make it even more enjoyable to readers, old and new!

So keep watching the website and keep reading the magazine. We intend for FSM to be fun for everyone!

Will Aaron still do the New Product Rundown videos? Gotta see what kinda cool ties he's wearing each month. LOL!

Please make the green go away.

Modeling is an excuse to buy books.

Hey Mark! If you've got time at Nationals, it would be an honor to meet you and chat over dinner one night if you can carve out any time. You will be my fourth editor for FSM. I hope it's not me chasing them all away! :-)

Same goes for Tim Kidwell. He does an outstanding job on the magazine and the website.

Tim probably has more fun, though.

He can let his hair down and go on field trips while the rest are stuck at the office.

I see him at the MMSI Chicago show each year... ....taking photos for the 'zine............
