You have to upload your photo to a host site like photo bucket . Copy the  photo's direct link and  paste it to the insert image bar.

Good Luck.

I'll give it a shot, at least I'll explain how I do it. First, start an account at a photo-hosting site; I use Photobucket. Then, upload your pics that you've saved to your computer. After they are uploaded, you'll see the thumbnail pics.

Move your cursor over the pic and you'll see a little gear symbol in the upper-right corner. A drop down menu appears and you choose "get links". Another window will open with several choices for you. You want to click on the one that says "IMG codes". Once you do, it will show "copied". Now, go to the post that you've started here and simply "paste" the code.

I hope that helps!
Gary

You need to click the "use rich formatting" button to make the needed toolbar appear.

Well, that sucks.

Curious what browser are you using? I just tried posting a reply using Internet Explorer (a browser I NEVER use), and I also got no toolbar. Confused

You didn't specifically mention what browser you're using, so I'm going to assume you are using Internet Explorer (IE) which is the native browser in Windows 7.

As I mentioned, I tried to do this using my IE and also got no toolbar. I know nothing about iPads, sorry.

I have two suggestions; Either try a different browser (Mozilla Firefox or Chome to name 2 (I use Firefox)) or turn on comparability mode in IE. I don't know how to turn on compatibility mode in IE, but see it mentioned often here regarding posting pics. I'm sure someone here can guide you through it, but they might not see my post so you might have start a new thread to get attention.

I know this is a frustrating problem, but I'm sure sooner or later it'll get sorted out.

On a side note, I'd assume iPads use Safari, and I've yet to hear anyone complain here about compatibility issues between this forum and Safari. IOW, though I'm not surprised you are having trouble with your Win7/Internet Explorer,  I'm surprised to hear it's not working on your iPad.

Vett,

When you are creating your post, add your text then paste the link. You have three tabs up top, Compose, Options, and Preview. Click on Preview, and see if all is well (preview of post with pictures and text). If not you can go back and make changes. I did have one time when my pictures did not link properly from Photobucket, I had to close the FSM website then open it again. Then the link worked.

Hope this helps

Glad you got that sorted out, Vett. The post look great! (so does your truck)

Good help by Bruce, I wasn't aware of the preview option either.
