Advice on Glue
Posted by Charlie Canberra on Sunday, October 07, 2018 3:19 AM

Hi All.  Only just getting back into Military Modelling after, oohh, about 35 years.  Need some Info.  I recently purchased a Meng T-72B1 and am in the process of assembly.  However a slight problem....  The "Y" sprue that comes with the model is made from a sort of rubbery material (flexible) which is almost like a skin.  I have experimented with a few glues I am familiar wit (MEK, Superglue etc) without any luck.  Can anyone advise on the best glue to use to mind this material to styrene.  Many thanks.

You'll get a better response if you post this in the armor section

Wrong thread section to post this question. As tempest already has mentioned - post it the armour thread. This thread is for TECHNICAL questions NOT related to modelling.

Or even better, since it's not really an armor question but about glue, the Tools forum:

I've had mixed results using super glue where sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't. Epoxy ultimatly did the trick.
