Well, I searched for "P-51" and got no hits what so ever.  That's because there's no mention of the P-51 here in the forums, so the search went to all things under the other search word "Italeri." Hope this explained it.Smile [:)]

A search term must have a minimum length of three contiguous alphanumeric characters. When you enter "P-51", the "-" is ignored, leaving "p" and "51", neither of which is of sufficient length as an acceptable search term.

So the search function goes away, thinks about it and then comes back and says it can't find anything.Whistling [:-^]

Now I know a little more about how the search function works - that helps - thank you!

That would make sense if "OR" was used but "AND" should mean I only want forum entries with P-51 AND Italeri. Since there are no P-51 entries I would expect 0 entries in the search results.

I think the search engine went for the next best thing and since "Italeri" was in the search line it found threads under that word, since there was nothing under "P-51."

This morning I searched using "P-51 AND Italeri" and a got a zillion hits because of the Italeri part of my search criteria. I was expecting only forum entries with both "P-51" and "Italeri". Did I specify the search criteria incorrectly or is this a forum bug?
