Minimum age for forum membership?
Posted by Konigwolf13 on Sunday, February 28, 2010 2:34 AM

One (possibly two) of my brood wants to join FSM forums, I couldnt find mention of a minimum age. Infact only 'rules' I could find were the guidelines in the forum guide area.

Andrew,

I don't think there is a minimum age restriction.  The forum moderators try to keep it "family friendly" by weeding out offensive posts that occasionally get made.

There are already several non-adult members of the forum (some who produce work that out shines a few of us adult modelers).

How old are your kids?

Paul, 71/2 and 9.

Most forums I've seen tend to have an age limit of around 13 or so (even the family friendly ones). I was kind of suprised. If I let them join it will under full supervision for the first few months, but they handle other internet memberships fine so far. Still thinking on it though.

The age limit on FSM is 0 to ∞.

It's one reason they frown on Manny's figures and swearing, along with any potential conflict. Very kid friendly!

So long folks!

Konigwolf13 Sign them up buddy! There is no better place to learn new skills and techniques. I would be more conserned about their Facebook accounts then one here, just sign in on their accounts now and then to check yet I feel even that is not needed here.

Ditto...some things I've seen on Facebook and MySpace make even my figures blush...

   Laughing 1     ......totally believeable Manny....

I refuse to have a facebook account. I don't need one and i think it is totally over rated

Konigwolf....  i don't see a problem with bringing your young fellas on board. I am sure they will be more than welcome, coached along and looked after.  I think you could find a lot worse forums for them to get introduced too. Hey mate, good on you too for looking out for them in such a way. So many kids seem to be just let loose these days into the big wide world without too much supervision and guidance.

Look foward to meeting the Konigwolf tribe....Toast
