Painting question

First question on the forum for me and all answers are very much appreciated. I just finished painting the final coat on a Kublwagen painted in Tamiya acrylic xf60 dark yellow. My next plan is to use a SIN filter on that coat After that I am not sure what to do? I want a Afrka Korp look for this one. I have never weathered a model before and II would like to try a pin wash or dry brush with enamels or oils. I have some pigments and a few enamels. I believe I have to lay down a protective layer on the Tamiya acrylic final coat before washes, oils and enamels. Will the filter be good enough protection? Some people use Future floor wax. Do I use a varnish? I have some Tamiya clear acrylic. Not sure what to put on top of brushed on Tamiya xf60 acrylic final coat and filter. What do I use to cover surface before oils, enamels and washes? Remember I can't use air brush and everything is brushed on. What about large areas to cover? If it is varnish , do I dilute it? Thanks everyone! I am sure the answer is here already in past posts but it seems everybody uses airbrushes now. Take care Dave
