Hi Bill. You didn't mention what type of military tires you are looking for. Do these need to be older Tamiya kit style vinyl (as in the old 88mm gun) or will resin aftermarket types work for your project? Depending on the both the vehicle and era the diameters and tread patterns will vary. German Sdkfz armored cars are different(usually Continentals) than Allied M21 half track tires (usually Firestones). If you are looking for WWII Allied type try locating resin sets from The Tank Workshop or similar aftermarket vendors. Another suggestion is to try local garage/yard sales as sometimes you are able to locate abandoned older military kits that the owner just wants to clear out. I have located a few "parts source specials" this way and usually for less than a couple of bucks. Good luck in your search. Cheers. Glen (aka Bearsgang).

Rubber tires.
Posted by Mitchell on Sunday, November 7, 2010 2:23 PM

Am searching for rubber tires (military), in 1/35th scale.  Am able to obtain, from Tamiya, tires for the various models of Humvee but, nothing else.  Someone makes them but, who?

Anyone out there that can help?

Please4 email me at wmsdogs@gmail.com.

Thanks,

Bill Frey
