Got any idea as to when? As in, maybe, a decade? (Yes, some of us kept some OLD issues.)

custom Tamiya mixes
Posted by Lokii on Tuesday, July 12, 2011 4:47 PM

Greetings !

I have been a modeler for many years and have just returned after a few years recovering from health issues, which brings me to my question. Just before taking my 'break', I had made up several 'custom' weathering colors from Tamiya paints complete with stickers for the bottles, along with the instructions for paint names, ratios and the like, such as " Oil  ", etc. Does anyone have any idea where these came from ? I have searched and searched here, and through my back issues, thinking that just maybe it was some special that was included in an issue from FSM ( because of the stickers ), but have had no luck at all finding any info. I would greatly appreciate any help as I really loved those special mixes and have no idea how to make more. I am certain they were made from paints, not the newer pastels and powders.

Thanks in advance !!  Bow Down
