Do you log into the site from different computers, say at work and at home? We have noticed occasional problems with users who access via more than one computer.

This is a generic fix, but it typically works: Empty your browser's cache (i.e., delete all the temp files) and reboot. It may also help to delete the existing Finescale.com cookies (a new one will be created as soon as you re-access the site).

I have an interesting problem along these lines. My bookmark takes me to the FSM mainpage. I always have to log in there. No matter how many times I do, It still asks for it. Basically, a continuous loop. I've reached the point now that, at the main page, I don't enter it.

The forum page however, seems to be independent from the main page. I can enter my name and password there and it remembers it as long as I don't enter it from my computer at work. In otherwords, the cookie on my computer at home and at work are different, therfore, I have to relogin on one computer if I logged in from the other. Which is normal I guess and makes sense.

My issues at the main page however occurs on both computers and never accepts my login. Even if I delete the cookies and enter them manually.

Not sure what the deal is with that.

** evil laughter emanates from Dave's cubicle **

I've been tinkering a bit with the forum code. Let me know if this resolves your problem with the username not being recognized. Smile [:)]
