Oops, I closed the quotation marks in the wrong place.  At the top and bottom of any string of messages, there is a list of links, in green font. It starts with home. Then comes Discussion Forums, the link I meant, and then a series of links to the hierarchical tree, depending on which forum group.  The discussion forums link is to the entire list.

I can't seem to find "discussion headings", and am keen to find better ways to search here. Help?

And if one is looking at discussion headings, will the search function Aaron referenced above work within that, selectively?

TIA

In addition to the search function, I would recommend going to the heading "discussion headings."  This gives you a list of all the forums, and you can get a feel for what each forum covers from its title.  Now, there is a lot of cross posting and off-topic posting, but it is a good start.  I think everyone who uses the FSM forums should look at this list periodically (new forums are occasionally added) to be aware of all the subjects covered, instead of posting all questions in the general discussions area.   The search function can be used for a particular thread or message.

Paul,

If you check the right side of the screen while you are on the forum, there should be a window under your profile field that says "Search the community." That searches the fourms. If you don't see it, or have any problems, send me a message and we'll see if there's something else happening.

Cheers, Aaron

It seems that the only search function I can find is the one in the right hand column that says "Search Finescale.com"

Where is the search function for the forums, or does it even exist?  If it does exist, there needs to be a link to find it as I have not been able to so far.
