Dan,

Try my Photobucket tutorial /forums/654172/ShowPost.aspx

It's built using Vista, but should get you going in the right direction.

There is no image button.  Currently to post pictures you have to use the img bracket code.

That didn't work for me. I tried that and got nothing. I'm using the latest Firefox and XP Pro at home.

Also, where is the "watch this topic" button? I want to be able to see your reply but I have no way to "watch this Topic"!

Man, I miss the old Forums. They were actually more easy to use!

From what I've found out, Safari doesn't have proper support for the rich text editing surface like other browsers.  Mozilla is available on the Mac, but only for OS X users.

I have seen that Safari users aren't able to do this.  For some reason, the rich text editor isn't displaying in Safari.  I'm looking into what the options are (among other things).

LOL!  I have no comment regarding the list.

I've gotten so behind in responding, I apologize.  If I have time this weekend, I'll try to answer more of the questions.  Jeff showed me the problems Safari has with the forum, so I have to figure out what I can do about that.

As for quoting specific items out of a post, it's pretty simple.  I delete everything but the statement I want to quote.  Or I'll copy the opening and closing quote brackets.  If you want to see an example, find a post where it's done and click the "Quote" button.  You should see the brackets.

As for the "Post since you last visited", I'll see what I can do.  I agree, it was easier to use.

David, when you are quoting another post -- How do you quote just one statement out of a longer post?  I've seen you use it recently when answering my first post on this new site. Blush [:I]

Also, on the tool bar on the Message page, the button for Bulleted List is mispelled.  It reads Bulled List.------ which, come to think about it might be a better title.   Big Smile [:D]    (  Bulls--t List  anyone?  )  Evil [}:)]

David:          I'm sure I'm not the only person who's noticed  how a lot of folks new to this site are asking the same old basic modeling qestions--eg.,  questions about Future;  body fillers;  body putty;  filling seams;  weathering and rusting;  etc.    What would you think of posting a permanent, LARGE, can't miss, special-for-newbies, how-to-search-this-forum-for-your-answers-BEFORE-posting-your-question block of info?  Maybe with a flashing, eye-catching border?    Big Smile [:D] Evil [}:)]        Maybe you can enlarge the FAQ link and put a searching-for-info heading at the top of the list.

My 2 cents [2c]

Hi David,

What happened to the "posts since your last visit" feature?  Is there another way to achieve the same results?
