I figured it out. I had a space in front of the http which made it not a valid link. Thanks for your help guys.

Yes sir. I'm on a Apple computer with Firefox which works for everything else I've come across, but this. I'm clicking on insert also......I'm stumped!
When you click on the hyperlink icon is it opening a separate dialog box. If so are you pasting the URL in the appropriate place and then once done hitting the insert button at the bottom of the box? I sometimes hit cancel by accident.

You do this by highlighting the text you want to link, then using the link icon above you paste the link into the Link URL box and then select a Target in the next box below that...prefer you select open in a new window so the original thread remains visible without going back and forth.
