I tried to post on A.R.C. and for some reason it didn't work.  I thought I would try and see what happens here before trying to post in a topic.

...Just wish I could upload them directly...

Regarding uploading images, it comes down to a decision the website's host has to make.  Allowing uploading the images themselves means the files have to be stored somewhere, and that means an additional cost.

Most of the forums I belong to don't allow uploading image, because the websites are small operations, and proprietary in the sense that the guy who put up the site pays for hosting.  Others allow some uploading, but limit the file size and/or the space each member has available.

If we think about it, image hosting sites are similar-they offer some free space, but after that, the more space you need, the more you pay for it.

In Kalmbach's case, they have decided not to incur that cost, so we have to use links instead to show images.

I use PostImage to store photos for sharing/hosting online.  It's simple.  For example, here is a photo I have uploaded to PostImage:

At my account at PostImage, when I look at any given image, there is a menu of items across the top of the page.  One of the menu items is Share.  When I click this, I get a list of different links to use elsewhere in the Internet.  I choose "Hotlink for forums" and the link is copied to my computer's clipboard.  Back here, I just click in the Reply editing window and click Ctrl-V to paste it.

Most if not all hosting sites have similar features.

If you chose to use the Insert feature, click Insert, then click Insert Image.  In the dialog box that opens, paste the URL of the photo you want to share into the Source box, then click OK.  The website should now show the image in your post.  Here's one I just found with a quick web search.  I clicked to view the photo, then copied the URL from my browser's Address box:

thank you kind sir... It seems that has worked.. I very much appreciate your help thank you

You have to use the reply link and then edit/insert image. Place the link to your image there.
