okay, I figured it out that you must add BB code in there manually. type "[ url]" before and "[/ url]" after the link and it becomes clickable. (without the quotation marks and and space inside the brackets).

That's interesting! So if we use the Insert Link tool, we have to add the url tags to the string?
I never use that feature-I just paste links right into the body of my reply. But regarding the url tags, I have found that I need to delete them from the image links that I get from Postimage (and before that, from Photobucket). If I did not, then the forum's pages would toggle all subsequent text into bold and underscore formats. You may have seen this effect in posts around the forum. For some reason, the page code can't handle those links successfully.

I used to be able to simply past links into my text and they would work just fine. That stopped working properly since the last outage. Now I need to use the link insert feature and add the BB code.
