Hi from Italy! Back to modeling after 30 years....
Posted by Topesio on Wednesday, August 27, 2014 3:28 AM

Hi everyone!

I'm from Italy and returning to modeling after a 30 years stop...

I left when I was 20, meanwhile I started to work, started (and ended...) a marriage, grow up a daughter.

Now, old and wise :-) returned to my first and loved hobby: modelling!

Well...during so much time almost everything has changed: painting with eneamels is changed to acrylics, airbrushing is much much cheaper than decades ago, materials like glue and putty are much better than before, there's a tool ready made for almost any need and, last but not least, internet has became an unvaluable source for everyone's.

Little by little, my skin in modelling is slighlty better, and I hope in a short time to post some pictures of a decent build. Meanwhile I study and experiment :-)

P.S. Sorry for my poor english....

Welcome aboard, yep, you are certainly not alone in returning to the hobby.

And don't worry, there are still plenty of us that use enamels, they are far from dead.

I am a Norfolk man and i glory in being so

Welcome Topesio,

I look forward to seeing some of your builds. Some of the tools may have changed, but the techniques and love for the hobby hasn't.

Welcome to the forum, Topesio!

I've been a modeler for 36 years and I'm STILL asking questions!  Ha-ha-ha!  So ask anything you want here.  You'll find that the folks in this forum are extremely friendly, welcoming and supportive.  I think everyone here will agee that we sure can't wait to hear more from you.

Best wishes,

Eric

PS.  Don't worry about your English.  It's just fine and I had no problems whatsoever understanding what you wrote.
