Getting the bug again after 35 years
Posted by Bexar91 on Saturday, June 27, 2015 11:03 PM

I used to build models when I was 10-15 years old but now I would like to get started again and do it the right way.  When I was young and impatient, I just wanted to get them completed as quickly as possible.
I'm 47 now and want to learn the right glues to use, the right way to mask and scratchbuild.

I just bought a 1965 Chevrolet C-10 stepside kit of the truck my dad used to own.  However, his had a side-mount spare tire with a cutout in the left rear fender.  The kit does not.  That might be a trick to replicate.

Anyway, "hello" from San Antonio.

Welcome to the Forums!  Glad to have you aboard!

Check out the "Auto" section of the Forums.  I'm sure someone there will be happy to tell you the easy way to make that mount happen.

I keep hitting "escape", but I'm still here.

Welcome aboard,

Like Fox said, just ask whatever you need in the corresponding forum and you will get some answers and ideas.

Building a kit from your stash is like cutting a head off a Hydra, two more take it's place.
